A native of Texas' verdant Rio Grande Valley, J. grew up in the business: his mother, Reyna, is the owner of the multimillion-dollar Karla's boutique. Working at her side in the store and on buying trips around the world, J. gleaned priceless knowledge and developed impeccable taste, which would later help him to develop his own cult following of loyal shoppers.
J. recently launched his first eponymous collection, carried exclusively in the Rice Village store. The J. Silver Collection, which features elegant pieces in 14kt-18kt gold with precious and semi-precious gems, is among the boutique's best sellers.
J. constantly travels to New York, LA and Europe, staying on top of the trends and bringing the next must have collection to his boutique. J. Silver carries editorial darlings like Chan Luu of Los Angeles, Texas-based designer Dian Malouf, Wendy Mink of New York, and Red Monkey - exclusive to the boutique. This fall, J. looks forward to celebrating his 10th Anniversary with a series of exciting trunk shows with Dian Malouf, November 17-19th.
