Fueled by his passion for antiques, including Art Deco bakelite and turn of the century Lalique glass, at age 22 Bitar began designing and making Lucite and semi-precious jewelry, selling it on the streets of SoHo. Described as "one of the most innovative jewelry designers of the twenty-first Century".
